Kansas 4-H Camp at Rock Springs Ranch has given generations of Kansas kids space to grow, space to try and even space to fail. Under an endless sky filled with endless stars, they develop a deeper connection to humanity, a larger world and their place in it.

The values of 4-H are at the core of camp at Rock Springs Ranch. They influence and guide all camp programming to educate, inspire and form lifelong values. So while the new brand identity for RSR was created for the retreat/conference center, the camp sub-brand adds the familiar four-leaf clover beloved to 4-H members across the country.

The benefits of summer camp are profound and lifelong. Campers return home more confident, independent, compassionate and resilient. They have more enthusiasm for learning and are more community-minded. Our goal was to create a brand story grounded in these benefits but also in the pure and joyous fun of summer, friends and exploration of the natural world.

Working with a new brand as it’s applied to various touchpoints is a privilege. Over the course of two and a half years, we incorporated the new camp brand across multiple touchpoints.

The branding was also applied to a 75th Anniversary campaign that was celebrated during the 2021 camp season. It was applied to environmental signage, camp t-shirts, a series of welcoming signs and marketing video.

Cinnamon rolls at RSR are legendary so naturally, we brought one to life and created Cinnaman, the official mascot of Summer 2022.

For the first time, camp at RSR was open to all kids, regardless of 4-H membership. Direct mail was sent out to all larger populated communities in KS and western MO.

Email campaign for camp season 2022. Average open rate was 25%, with a click rate of 15%. Camp enrollment increased by 27% that year.
