Nicole Satterwhite

As agency co-owner, Nicole is the cornerstone of Willoughby’s world-class design team. She is adept at leading the creative process to sound, strategic brand identities and then translating them into numerous energetic and engaging touchpoints. Since joining Willoughby in 1996 she has worked with noted national clients such as Panera Bread, Hershey’s, Dixie and Pet Supplies Plus. Her love of Kansas City has led to major contributions to local civic and corporate brands including Visit KC, KC Current, RideKC and the upcoming and ambitious South Loop Project which will create acres of new park and entertainment space in downtown Kansas City by placing platforms across a canyon of Missouri interstate highway.

Nicole has received numerous awards for her design work and been featured in publications such as Communication Arts, Print and Graphis. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the KU School of Architecture and Design and has donated services to a large range of not-for-profit organizations, including Operation Breakthrough, Nonprofit Connect and Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy.

A calm presence in a storm, her grace and polished demeanor guide our creative process with thoughtfulness, style and a killer eye. She’s a fantastic mentor to our interns and young designers and a true partner in the creative journey. Nicole can see the big picture before some of us have had even our coffee. When not managing our design process, she manages a household of two kids, an architect and an inexhaustible Golden Retriever.
